Datuk Prof Dr Muhaya is a Consultant Eye Surgeon and Director of Prof Muhaya Eye & LASIK Centre (PMELC). She performs ReLEx-SMILE and LASIK surgeries at PMELC.

SMILE & LASIK
- Up to January 2017, treated nearly 4,500 eyes for ReLEx-SMILE and 2,300 eyes for FemtoLASIK since she started her service at PMELC.
Medical Retina
- Trained in Moorfields Eye Hospital in the interpretation of Fundus Fluorescein angiography (FFA)
Investigative and diagnostic ophthalmology
- The expert in Optical Coherence Tomography after a formal training in the use and interpretation of Optical Coherence Tomography in Boston Diagnostic Eye Centre, Cairo.
General Ophthalmology
- Responsible for training over 70 residents in general ophthalmology since 1998.
